I bring with me 16 years of experience in the field of Physiotherapy. Having Graduated with excellent academic record and a GOLD Medal in 2007, I started my journey as a Physiotherapist in Asian Heart Institute and research center where i worked as an Acute care therapist for 2 years. During this phase i was able to associate with some of the brightest minds in the field of Cardio-respiratory and together we helped many patients to return to their activities of daily living after undergoing Cardiac surgeries and suffering from lung problems like Asthma and COPD. It was in 2009 that i got a chance to work with Dr. Abhay Nene, Spine Surgeon, a Pioneer in the filed of Spine health in Mumbai, India. Since then, I have successfully treated many clients who suffered with Spine problems.
Since then, I have attended to many clients presenting with various musculoskeletal injuries. By using a combination of Manual therapy skills (Spinal Manipulation, Mobilizations, Myofascial release); Tailor made exercise prescriptions (Postural correction and prevention programs, Post surgical rehab, Return to work and work hardening programs) and additional tools like Kinesiotaping, I have been able to cater to many clients with various musculoskeletal and Neurological issues. Over the course of last 16 years, i have done several workshops and training to treat clients with Vestibular problems, and foot issues. I got a advanced certification in Spinal Manipulation therapy recently to widen my scope of practice and give the best possible experience to my current and future clients.
Since moving to Canada, I have been fortunate to be part of a wonderful team of Chiropractors and Registered Massage therapists at Yorkdale wellness clinic. We pride ourselves in giving one of the best one on one treatments and advice thereby helping the people in the community to lead a healthy and injury free lifestyle. Outside of work, i enjoy Cycling and keeping myself fit. I love exploring new cities on my Bike.
